RHRacing Weekly Newsletter 014

In the News

Not much in the news this week, but we have got a holiday guest in the yard. Shantou Flyer is with us for a little while after his Grand National exertions to have a little break here with some of Mr Hinchy’s other horses that we have.

Last week’s runners

Chic Name went to Auteuil in France on Easter Monday, but over a trip that was short of his optimum, he failed to spark and finished seventh of seven. He did pick up a nice bit of prize money for his trip though, so it was a worthwhile outing. He’ll now have a nice long summer holiday. The view for next year is that we might take him Cross Country Chasing, but we’ll obviously make a final decision on that next season.

We did have a winner in France though as Dortmund Park won a mile and a half flat race in our colours. Trained in France by Fabrice Foucher, he is a four year old by Great Pretender, out of Qena. He’s still quite immature and can only get better as he gets older. All in all, he’s quite an exciting prospect

This week’s runners

Petiville is our only entry this week, over two mile six at Stratford, but he’s not likely to run. The ground down here is likely too fast for him and we’ll look for somewhere like Perth to get a bit more give in the ground and more suitable conditions.
